Information You Submit
Text entered in a search form, such as a name, telephone number, or address, goes to the outside provider that supplies the results. Our servers do not retain a separate copy of those queries. When you send us a message, we receive the information you decide to provide and use it to answer your request.
Information Collected Automatically
Standard hosting logs may record an IP address, browser type, page request, and timestamp. Aggregated log data helps us maintain the service, diagnose faults, and see which resources are useful. Cookies or similar tools may support basic analytics and advertising measurement where those features apply.
How Information Is Used
We process the information described above to run and secure the site, correct technical problems, assess traffic, and improve content. We do not sell a visitor list or assemble individual browsing profiles.
Privacy on Linked Services
Links may lead to Raleigh departments, Wake County and North Carolina records offices, library catalogs, government portals, or outside search services. Information sent on another service is subject to that service's privacy terms. The same rule applies to sponsored results provided by an outside company.
Parties That Process Data
Hosting and support vendors may process technical logs for us. Analytics or advertising providers may receive the limited automatic data already described. We may disclose information when valid legal process compels it, but we do not otherwise distribute visitor data.
Safeguards and Retention
An encrypted connection protects data in transit. Server logs are kept only as long as reasonably needed for operations, security, and the uses stated above. Since visitors do not create accounts, this site stores no account password or user profile.
Visitors Under Age 18
This service is intended for adults and is not directed to children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from a person under 18. Contact us if you believe a minor submitted such information, and we will remove it from data under our control.
Your Privacy Choices
Your place of residence may provide rights to access, correct, or delete personal data held by a website. As of the project research date, no comprehensive North Carolina consumer privacy law or statewide data-broker deletion registry was found in official sources, so we do not promise a universal state opt-out. We can search our contact mailbox and available server logs for data under our control. Use the Contact page for such a request. Public records held by Raleigh, Wake County, or North Carolina agencies remain under the control of those custodians. Chapter 15C separately provides North Carolina's Address Confidentiality Program for eligible survivors.
